Located at the top of the gondola station, children from 4 to 7 years inclusive are welcome the Junior Ski Club, where they are given expert supervision. The package includes daily tuition for 2 hours, skis, boots, lift-pass (to the snow club only) and daily activities, including outside fun in the snow. This can only be locally booked and prices are approximately £15 per day, or £80 for 6 days. It operates 3 Baby drags, a Wonder carpets baby track and the rotunda Kinder Carousel. A great place to create some fantastic memories and from which to tell some tall stories when they get back to school ….. During Bansko’s inaugural season, it was decided to create something probably unique to Bansko – snow towers. Rising from the ground like giant needles, they offered a very unusual alternative to the traditional half-pipe and were to be found in the Funpark – an area where you can build your own jumps to suit your taste and ability. Unfortunately, these large monoliths have not been re-created in subsequent seasons.
The longest ski run in the resort is 16km which will let you ski or snowboard from the very top of the Todorka Mountain, right into the town. What better way to end the day than to ski right into Bansko where you can either walk over to the apartment to chill out or call into the 'Happy End' bar directly opposite the gondola station for a well earned gluwein, or some other 'liquid life-saver'.
On particular occasions (and if you still have the energy!!) they can turn the lights on and let you ski the last 7km into town under moonlight. However, this is not as regular as in years gone by so a certain amount of luck is required ...
